What does our production process look like?
Steps and project complexity can vary from a simple corporate talking head set to full scale commercial marketing productions - but this will give you a look behind the scenes at what it takes to create a successful campaign, photoshoot or commercial.
PRE-PRoduction
The genesis of something great - where the creatives, subject matter experts and marketing professionals converge to create something legendary.
Initial Consultation
Call and/or meeting - discuss: project parameters, deliverables, creative vision, budget
Estimate/bid delivered
Contract signed, creative strategy approved, and deadlines set
Planning & logistics
Locations acquired
Actors/specialized talent cast
Equipment/gear sourced
Production insurance acquired - needs vary based on size/scope
Production crew allocated
Specialized crew/gear sourced as needed: camera cars, robot arms, underwater cameras or infrared/night vision equipment
Permits acquired as necessary
Visual Effects (VFX) or 3D graphics planned in advance - consultation with VFX supervisor
Scripts written and storyboards created
Logistics: food, travel, lodging and transportation
Product received from client and function check completed
Meetings to align the vision and process - client, creatives, SMEs and technicians.
PRoduction
Where the rubber meets the road - the synthesis of all our work in pre-production leads to a successful capture of your content.
CAPTURE - the day of the shoot
Location
Cast: operators (veterans or active-duty,) SMEs and technicians
Crew: director, producer, cinematographer, photographer, audio, camera department, lighting, drone op, and specialized techs as needed
Client: marketing or product teams - or anyone else you’d like to include on set.
Capture - lights, camera, action.
Doing your due diligence in pre-production is your best bet to ensure good production days.
Post-PRoduction
It all comes together here - in the editing room. We complete the project based on the creative strategy, do a little nit-picking and make sure everyone’s happy with the final product.
editing & delivery
Photos are edited and delivered to the client
Videos are edited, with multiple revisions sent to client for feedback and opportunities to adjust the flow and message
Music and sound effects added
Narration sourced and added
VFX created and integrated
Motion graphics, titles and logos created and placed
Additional shorter cuts for social media are created
Client signs off on the revisions and project is completed
The completed video is delivered as a fully-polished piece, ready for social media, web, TV, trade shows, or any other outlet.
